01Announcement

02Overview and demo
The overview trailer is the broad primer on Musashi, Kyoto and the gauntlet. Demo footage is better for inspecting moment-to-moment swordplay before buying.
03Use media for what it shows
Promotional video is excellent for atmosphere and visible action. Menu rules, balance and storefront entitlements should still be checked against the current build and official product pages.
04Format and the Oni no Kajin host
Every Kirokuchō episode runs roughly 90 seconds: 15 seconds of intro music and logo, 60 seconds of narrator-voiced biography over concept-art and in-engine character renders, and 15 seconds of credit and the next-episode teaser. The narrator is 遠藤綾 (Aya Endō) under the title 鬼の佳人 (“Oni no Kajin”). The episode opens with a fixed catchphrase in classical-Japanese register (“己が名を記せ” / “Record your name”) before the character introduction. The format is deliberately cinematic — no UI, no combat footage, no spoilers. The series is published on the official CapcomChannel YouTube in Japanese, and subtitled versions are uploaded on the CapcomAsia channel a few hours later. The Japanese-language uploads are the canonical episode — the English subtitles on CapcomAsia are auto-generated for most early episodes. Capcom’s official site (2 September 2026 news block) points at two parallel lore streams besides Kirokuchō: Yuriri Naka (the Oni Lady) narrating characters and Formidable Foes, and Shogo Miyakita (Ono no Takamura) on the hidden history of Oni, Genma and Onimusha. The Japanese name for Daidara is 大陀羅, not a garbled lookalike. Ifuu and Burai are 畏風 and 撫雷 — not “Kanpu and Furai.” This page indexes the films; the characters page is the roster. The Kirokuchō series sits between the gamescom 2026 announcement window (late August) and the launch day (4 September 2026). It is the third pre-launch content stream after the gameplay-overview trailers and the MAN WITH A MISSION “Issen” promo song. The series is structured to drive wishlist sign-ups: each episode ends with the standard “available 4 September” frame and a Capcom store link. It is also the first place Capcom has confirmed specific historical characters (Murasaki Shikibu, Musashi) by name as part of the campaign cast. The soundtrack page covers the music side of the launch-week marketing, and the ASUS collaboration page covers the hardware side. The Kirokuchō series is the character side of the same launch-week push.
