01Use categories, not memory

Record each item by area, landmark and type. “Temple side room after bridge” is more useful on a return visit than a count with no location context.

02A practical checklist

Mark an entry only after the in-game confirmation and keep uncertain entries separate so they do not distort your total.

• Area or chapter.
• Nearest visible landmark.
• Item category and in-game name.
• Whether the route is accessible.
• A note for a revisit.

03Before a completion run

Finish a normal route first if discovery matters to you. Then revisit areas with a deliberate list instead of interrupting every first-time scene.

04A route that prevents duplicate searching

Clear one room clockwise from its entrance, mark the exit you used, and only then move to the next room. When you revisit later, use the same direction. A consistent route is more reliable than remembering which corner “felt searched.”
